Privacy and saving

The short version
The free web version of Everborough doesn't ask for an account, doesn't upload your game, and doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Where your game is saved
When you play as a guest, your town (coins, home, garden, pets, outfits and settings) is stored in your browser's local storage on this device, for this website only. It never leaves your device unless you choose Download backup, which saves a file to your own computer or phone.
How a guest save can be lost
- Clearing cookies, site data or browsing history for this site.
- Playing in a private or incognito window and then closing it.
- Some browsers remove data for sites you haven't visited in a long time.
- Choosing Start over in the game's menu.
Download a backup from Menu → Your save to keep a copy. You can restore it later, or in another browser.
What the website receives
Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles the request when your browser loads the pages and game files, which includes your IP address and browser details, for delivery and security. The game itself sends no gameplay data anywhere.
Onward accounts
Everborough also lives inside Onward. Guest saves on this website are separate from Onward accounts and Onward saves. Onward's own privacy terms apply when you use Onward.
Children
The web version collects no personal information, has no chat and has no contact with other players.
